AGIT Symposium
AGIT is a forum for German-speaking GIS users. At “AGIT 2022 – Designing Future with Geo-informatics” research, development and industry met in July to demonstrate and discuss the enormous potential of geographic information systems and geodata. The focus this year was on Spatial Analytics and Data Science. More than 30 exhibitors presented their solutions and services. The three-day event included about 50 talks and special workshops on the topics of applied geo-informatics.
The symposium provided a valuable platform for those willing to learn more about Topio. The gathering fostered dialogue among geospatial minds, informing the Geo-information society, as well as contributing to a more just, ethical and sustainable society. It is the annual meeting place for innovation, networking and continuing education from all areas of Geo-informatics. Interdisciplinary discussions, forward-looking ideas and a personal atmosphere accompany and shape the exchange of science and research, business and application.
Europe’s New Digital Marketplace for Geospatial Data at the GI_Salzburg22 EXPO
Exchange and interaction characterise the GI_Salzburg22. The focus is on connecting science and business, bringing disciplines together and taking an active look into the future together. This is why Topio.Market had to be there. Our colleagues at WiGeoGIS presented Topio marketplace at the WIGeoGIS booth, where we had the chance to interact and inform the visitors about the comprehensive functionalities of the new geo-marketplace.
The close interaction between symposium and exhibition made an international unique selling point, as reflected in the well-known spatial proximity and the contribution and discussion formats in the programme. Thanks to our presence in the experts´exhibition with the WiGeoGis booth, Topio has received new beta testers, who provided meaningful feedback to further develop and improve Topio.
Expert talks, focus- and lightning talks, as well as discussion round-tables concluded the event. The focus topics greatly helped to start new and prosperous conversations and brought representatives from business, science and application to discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead in the Geoinformation industry.
